This is a single lower leg bone from a medium sized pterosaur.  It is preserved in a small slab of lithographic limestone as a positive and negative fossil.  The bones are seen on the lower slab and the impression is seen on the upper slab.

Since no other parts of this animal were found, it is thought that the creature was eaten after death by other animals and the lower leg was dropped in the water, perhaps by another pterosaur.
